Costly Offering

Worship is not just singing praises to God.  Worship embodies the way we conduct ourselves in life and that we are to continue to exemplify Jesus’ worth in our lives.  He deserves excellence from us.  If Jesus really is the most precious thing to us, then we shall be delighted to give our absolute best to Him.  To worship God is to fight the tendency for self-preservation and honoring Him with our everything.  Much like Mary in today’s story, we pray to release the sweet aroma of worship unto God.
