A Joyful Crowd and Weeping Jesus
When Jesus returned to the ‘city of God’, a city that represented God’s peace, people that had witnessed Him and followed Him during his ministry extoled Him as their King—there was celebration, rejoicing, and gladness. In sharp contrast, when Jesus approached Jerusalem and the crowd, he wept. On this Palm Sunday, we turn our attention to the reasons why Jesus cried so bitterly that day and use that as our primer for entering Passion Week.
